Royal Canin is seeking an Education and Training Lead to join our exciting pet food business at a manufacturing plant in North Sioux City, SD. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. As the Education and Training Lead at Royal Canin, you are accountable for developing, executing, and tracking the training program developed in collaboration with the HSE, Q&FS, and Production Managers.
The Education and Training Lead collaborates on developing the over-arching training program, develops training materials that suit functional requirements, develops material to onboard new joiners, tracks associate participation, and manages training logistics. This role will deliver training sessions as required to either end users or as part of “Train the Trainer” sessions.
What are we looking for?
- Degree or higher in Human Resources, Education, Business Management, basic sciences, or other business-related disciplines (Perferred).
- Three years of experience in developing and delivering training
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in-classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.)
- Ability to work any shift as needed.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Develop overall training strategy and program.
- Schedule and coordinate individual and team training sessions.
- Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices, and processes to improve the efficiency of training services offered.
- Work with external vendors to provide specific technical training to site associates.
- Provide “Train the Trainer” standards and sessions to shift leaders, JHSC members, Quality Technicians, etc., to enable them to deliver training modules within their teams.
- Negotiate a training schedule with site leadership.
