About the role: This role will be working for Mars Incorporated within our Royal Canin segment, where we advance pet health through tailored nutrition and scientific expertise. You’ll be pivotal in reshaping how we turn insights into exceptional joint plans with key and emerging retailers that position Royal Canin as the category partner of choice
Role Title: Omni Customer & Category Manager
Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Hours: Full-time, Hybrid working
Reporting to: Pet Specialty Retail Customer Marketing Lead ANZ
What you’ll do:
- Drive category growth by leading insight-led, customer-centric strategies across key Pet Speciality Retail (PSR) accounts that align with both Royal Canin’s vision and customer business goals.
- Champion customer collaboration, delivering best-in-class range, space, and distribution solutions that accelerate category performance and brand growth.
- Lead data-driven decision making, turning global, regional, and local insights into actionable plans that shape customer strategy and execution.
- Own strategic category partnerships, managing joint business projects with key retailers and acting as the central contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Supply, and Corporate Affairs to ensure alignment of customer needs and brand initiatives.
- Continuously optimize performance, leveraging analytics and KPIs to measure impact, refine plans, and maximize commercial outcomes.
Your experience and passion:
- Commerce/Marketing Degree (preferred)
- Experience across Category and account management, ideally in and FMCG or CPG environment
- Experience in driving impactful Joint Business Planning with large scale retailers
- A natural problem solver, skilled in process improvement techniques and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills, coupled with an ability to identify and action salient insights
- Ability to create collaborative relationships, both internally and externally
